Huge Congratulations to Rodney Bailey!

We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievement of Rodney Bailey, our talented Colorguard Coordinator for the JSU Marching Southerners! This past weekend, he led the Pope High School Winterguard to a phenomenal victory at the 2025 Winterguard International World Championships in Dayton, Ohio! (He Is their show designer.)

Competing against 130 outstanding high school colorguards across three exciting rounds, the Pope High School Winterguard showcased their exceptional skill and artistry by winning every single round! They scored an impressive 93.050 in preliminaries, followed by 92.685 in semifinals, and culminated their journey with an astounding 96.555 in finals, securing the coveted gold medal!

With over 5,000 high school students, parents, and colorguard enthusiasts cheering them on, the Pope High School Winterguard truly shone on the world stage! Rodney, your leadership and dedication have inspired these talented young performers to reach new heights. We couldn’t be prouder of you and your team! Let’s celebrate this monumental victory!
