On Thursday, April 20th, at 7:30 pm, JSU will host its first JSU Alumni Jazz Concert in the Recital Hall (Room 351) at Mason Hall with alumni as far back as the early 80s. The event is open to all JSU alumni, faculty, staff, students, and the public at no cost. It will be an opener for the Jazz Festival leading into the next day when eleven school groups will perform, as well as four JSU Jazz Ensembles, followed by an evening concert with the Mace Hibbard Quartet. HIbbard, a former teacher of jazz, has won a Grammy and tours with Lyle Lovett.
