In celebration of Women’s History Month, there will be many events on campus throughout the month of March that will give JSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni opportunities to participate in fun activities while coming together to commemorate the contributions of women in American History.
The Women’s History Month March, sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, is one such event that will be held on Wednesday, March 29th, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. JSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to attend free of charge. The march will begin at the TMB and end at McClure Chapel. After the march, there will be a ceremony awarding the Women’s History Month Women of the Year Awards.
If you know someone from the JSU campus community who brings about positive change, the Women’s History Month Committee encourages them to offer a nomination for one of the following four awards:
- Woman of the Year (Student)
- Woman of the Year (Faculty, Staff, or Administrator)
- Gender Equality Advocate of the Year (Student)
- Gender Equality of the Year (Faculty, Staff, or Administrator)
Anyone wishing to offer a nomination can do so using the following link:
The deadline for nominations is March 16th at 11:59 pm.
