The College of Arts and Humanities congratulates Barbara Cook, Michelle Green, and Dr. Jennie Vaughn on their new positions at JSU. As part of the shift to a different advising model at JSU, these faculty and staff will work with students in a different capacity.
Green has been named the Director of Student Athlete Development. While she will continue to advise Integrated Studies majors for the next month, she will soon re-locate to Student Success, where she will work more closely with student athletes. We wish her well in this new endeavor.
Cook has been named the new Senior Lead Advisor for the College of Arts and Humanities. She will continue to assist CAH majors and plans to stay in Stone Center. She will work closely with our departments and faculty advisors to assist students, and she will supervise new professional advisors who will soon be hired. Congratulations, and we are glad that you will continue to help us with orientations and advising.
Vaughn, an assistant professor of English, has been appointed as Coordinator of the Integrated Studies (INS) Program. In that role, she will admit and advise graduate INS students. In addition to her English course load, she will also teach INS 599, the capstone course for the graduate INS program. At the undergraduate level, she will assess the INS program and oversee curricula. Thank you for taking on this role for the largest program in our College.
