Over the weekend, the JSU Department of Theatre and Film, The Shakespeare Project, and Alpha Psi Omega hosted their collaborative event “Shakespeare in the Park,” as they put on performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in local outdoor locations.

The event started on Friday, April 23, when the first performance took place on the Quad at JSU. The second performance followed on Saturday, April 24 in Oxford and Sunday, April 25 was the third, this time at Piedmont Memorial Park.

All performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream are free and open to the public, so feel free to “bring a chair or blanket and escape to a world of imagination.”

The remaining dates for performances are as follows:

Friday, April 30 at 5:00 PM – Elwell Park

Saturday, May 1 at 1:00 PM – Chapel in the Pines at Pell City Lakeside Park

Sunday, May 2 at 2:00 PM – Jacksonville Community Center Pavillion
