A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the newly renovated Mason Hall was held on Monday, October 19, 2020, at 11:00 am on the steps of the new addition. The ceremony included comments by Board of Trustees Chair Randy Jones, Board of Trustees member Randy Owen, President Don Killingsworth, Music Department Head Tony McCutchen, Provost Christie Shelton, and Dean Staci Stone. Music was provided by Dr. Rachel Park, Assistant Professor of Piano. Following the ceremony, private tours were provided to the Board of Trustees. The ceremony was live streamed on JSU’s Facebook page, where a virtual tour is also posted. Reopening events include guided tours of Mason Hall, a musical events series, and naming ceremonies. These events will be announced soon.
