Year in School:
I’m a 5th year senior double majoring in Drama and Biology.
Hometown:
I grew up in Oxford Alabama.
Why did you decide to attend JSU?
I came to JSU because I was given the opportunity to go to school here with the help of several different scholarships.
Why did you choose your major?
I decided to study what I love, even though those two things are completely different. I decided to study both while in college and see what doors opened on my way to graduation.
What is your favorite thing to eat on/off campus?
My on-campus choice would have to be Freshens, while off-campus I would choose Baja.
What clubs/organizations are you involved in (here, please talk about SGA appointment and other organizations)?
I have been involved in many clubs while here at JSU, to name a few would include; Alpha Psi Omega, College Republicans and College Democrats, Zeta Phi Eta, Tri-Beta, SGA Student Senate, SGA Student Activity Council, SGA Organizational Council, and Students for Equality.
What is the coolest thing about the Drama Department?
I believe that the coolest thing about the Drama department would have to be how immersive it is. The program works hard to create an environment very similar to the professional world. This helps the student to learn through experience rather than theory.
What are your post-grad plans?
When I graduate from JSU, I would like to get a Masters and PhD but I’m not certain in what yet.
Advice to students new-to-JSU?
Get as active on campus as you can. You’re going to live here for the next 4 years and making the most of that time will make a huge difference in your life.
