
Bronson Layton, a senior at JSU, is from Ragland, AL. He is majoring in English and minoring in History.
Why did you decide to attend JSU?
I chose to attend JSU because of the friendly atmosphere I was exposed to when I was younger.
What are some of your hobbies?
My hobbies include writing stories and making YouTube videos.
What is your favorite on/off campus thing to eat?
My favorite thing to eat on and off campus is Chick-Fil-A.
Why did you choose your major?
I chose my major and minor to one day become an English professor and inspire future students.
What has been the most impactful experience you’ve had as a college student?
The most impactful experience that I’ve been through as a student at JSU is becoming a member of the Marching Southerners, of which I am a baritone player and have been a part of since fall 2016.
What do you love most about JSU?
What I love most about JSU is the friends I’ve made on my way to success and the courage that the campus helped me develop through encouragement.
Are you involved in any clubs/organizations?
I have been a baritone player in the Marching Southerners since 2016, I am a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, the National Society of Leadership of Success (Sigma Alpha Pi), and I have recently become an English tutor.
What has been your favorite course so far?
My favorite course so far has been American Literature I and II.
Are you involved in any creative projects?
I run a YouTube channel, and Facebook page, called “Brons Over Brains” to motivate people with autism, such as myself, to go out into the world and show how big of a difference they can make.
