Anna Jungels is a junior from Winfield, Alabama. She is double-majoring in History and Spanish and plans to attend graduate school after graduation.
Why did you decide to attend JSU?
I picked JSU because it offered the programs that interested me. I also liked that JSU was a smaller college, and I knew that I wouldn’t be just another number here.
What are some of your hobbies?
I spend most of my free time either reading or writing.
What is your favorite thing to eat on/off campus?
I will eat anything Mexican or Italian.
Why did you choose your major/minor?
I chose history because I have always loved learning about the past, and I chose Spanish because studying a foreign language will enable me to connect with people who don’t speak English, both in the United States and abroad.
What are your post-grad plans?
I plan to go to graduate school, but I don’t know where.
What has been the most impactful experience you’ve had as a college student?
I have really enjoyed working as a student ambassador because it gives me the chance to talk to incoming students and tell them what I love most about my majors.
What do you love most about JSU?
I love that JSU is small, which gives me the opportunity to really get to know my professors and my classmates.
Are you involved in any clubs/organizations?
I am involved in the BCM, and I am also an SAH student ambassador for the History and Foreign Languages Department. This year, I am participating in the new Japanese Club.
What has been your favorite course so far?
I really loved my freshman Western Civilization classes because they opened up history in a whole new way for me.
