
Roxana Ramos is a junior from Crossville, Alabama. She is majoring in foreign languages and minoring in English. She is involved in the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, the Student Alumni Association, the JSU Sociology Club, and the School of Arts and Humanities Student Ambassadors. Roxana is also a foreign language tutor through ACE Tutoring Services on campus.

I last read Becoming by Michelle Obama.
What is your favorite thing to eat on campus?
Chick-fil-A!
Why did you choose to come to JSU?
It felt like home, and I received a good scholarship.
Why did you choose your major?
My major in foreign languages offers me a variety of career opportunities.
What are your post-graduation plans?
I plan on going to law school.
What has been the most impactful experience you’ve had as a college student?
Meeting my best friends. College has given me endless memories. I have gained lifelong friendships.
What do you like to do for fun?
I like to play soccer.
What is the best/hardest part about tutoring a foreign language?
The best part of being a tutor is interacting with the students and getting to know them and being able to help them. It is very rewarding seeing them excel in the courses they were struggling with.
What about your learning experience in the History & Foreign Languages Department gives you the confidence to take on life after graduation?
We have outstanding professors here that have prepared me and push me to reach my full potential.
